General Information

The main office for Backcountry Outfitters is in Torrey, Utah. Although, we offer trips throughout the Canyonlands Region, many of our trips launch from Torrey. Besides being an easy 3 hour drive from Salt Lake City we are almost exactly halfway through the Grand Circle Tour. This popular route takes you through Zion NP, Bryce NP, Grand Staircase Monument, Capitol Reef NP, Goblin Valley State Park, Arches NP and Canyonlands NP.

Many people choose to fly into Salt Lake City, Utah; St. George, Utah; or in some cases Grand Junction, Colorado. All of these cities offer an easy transfer via rental car, charter flight or shuttle to towns along the Grand Circle Tour. If you have any questions please call one of our knowledgeable planners to help you determine your travel plans.

The town of Torrey offers all of the amenities any adventurer would seek. If you would like to find out more about lodging and dining in the area please visit the Capitol Reef area travel site here.
